What began as a shared goal has become a permanent scholarship fund built by Hickory alumni across generations.

Spring, 2027
The first Hickory High School Alumni Scholarship will be awarded to a Hickory High senior, beginning an annual tradition of supporting students while honoring the teachers who helped shape generations of graduates.

A Legacy in the Making
As of September 30, 2026, contributions to the Hickory High School Alumni Scholarship Fund have reached $50,900. With the Fund now permanently established, the story moves beyond reaching an initial goal and toward building a lasting legacy for future Hickory High students.
Growing Alumni Support
Alumni from 12 graduating classes are now represented in the Fund: 1951, 1953, 1954, 1961, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1977, and 1980. Every class represented adds another chapter to the legacy being built for future Hickory High students.
Looking Ahead
The first Hickory High School Alumni Scholarship will be awarded in Spring 2027, marking the Fund’s first tangible impact for a Hickory High student. This will begin an annual tradition of supporting students while honoring the teachers who helped shape generations of graduates.

We’re grateful to every donor, volunteer, class representative, and community partner who has helped build the Fund to this point. What began as an alumni initiative is now a permanent scholarship fund designed to benefit Hickory High students for generations to come.
